PRE UNIVERSITY / FOUNDATION PROGRAM

This is an 8 to 12 months preparatory program for secondary school-leavers for the university education (in mostly Canada).
It helps build applicants with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed at the university by providing a good foundational base in subjects offered mostly in the first year at the University (which are not offered in Nigerian Secondary schools).
On completion of the foundation program, students can get scholarship to study at the University (this is performance-based).
The Student is also able to see firsthand, University of entry on completion of course (for decision making.
It promotes independent and self-directed learning in preparation for undergraduate study. In the first years of Secondary Education students take mostly compulsory courses, with some options, but as they advance in the system, students are allowed more options and less compulsory courses. The hope is that by this time, students would have had a good idea of their interests and strength, and as such, starts to focus on them. This also prepares them for the job market and makes them more suited to meet the differing entrance requirements of postsecondary institutions.
When students complete the requisite number of compulsory and optional courses, they are awarded an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). With this diploma, students can gain admission into any University of their choice in Canada, America, Europe, etc.

Requirements:

• WAEC/NECO result (with at least Six credits including English and Mathematics)+ scratch card
• Passport data page or copy of birth certificate
• SS1-SS3 Transcripts (not all schools require this)
